Crash and pause

Hold the phone. This was how the party ended.

Am ok considering but too doped on codine to write comprehensive report yet.
Quite possibly the most incredible escape of my life to date.

Wear your seatbelts little pumpkins. And go slower than you think you should on that ice. Believe me, s.l.o.w.e.r.

Its my birthday and I'll cry if i want to

However, I don't want to. Life smells like peaches and cream and I am far too hyper listening to the goddess that is Grace Jones' new album. She is incredible and the album is a fantastic affair. A mix of her old sound with the collaborative work of Tricky and Brian Eno etc. And she's 60. It does not compute in any way except overload of awesome.

Life has also been overloaded with friends, fun and family. HOORAH! I sit writing this as fast as I can before heading off to the same summer cabins I hired after the Weird Girls with 20 people for a countryside birthday party to celebrate my 31ness. So because I cannot be elaborate in detail right now you will have to deal with less words and more photos.

Way back when I last wrote it was EVE online's Fanfest 2008. This was a huge success and great fun. The round table discussion I had went very well and I feel steered myself and Palli very helpfully on the New Player Experience.

On the Friday night, Alli hosted a party at his house which ended at a very appropriate time after Ívar and Andri blew his sound system.

I was particularly happy the party on friday ended because Saturday was a night of epic proportions and before that I had an open day at Sara's studio to attend with Friða so no hangover was appreciated.

That night I was Djing at the Fanfest party at Laugardalshöll and I am quite unashamed to say I was terrified. That, my friends, is a big stage, and a massive venue. But luckily my custom made jumpsuit by Naked Ape helped me to rock the place.

Straight afterwards I along with most of the CCP staff it seemed, headed to Q bar where the lovely Lauren Flax was playing along with another 8 New Yorkers. It was an absolutely fabulous night and one we can never forget as most of us don't remember how it ended....

The next day Lilja and I cooked Roast Lamb and potatoes for all aforementioned New Yorkers and had a great and calm evening of chats and niceness.

The same cannot be said of the following night however. In return for the roasted lamb they took me out for an incredibly 6 course dinner in the very delightful (and usually extremely quiet and classy) Við Tjornina. You must eat there if you can, and ignore the photos below because its truly a delightful place. This many New Yorkers and unlimited wine however led to great mischief. (Disclaimer: I checked that the yanks were not disturbing any other guests. It was the end of the night on a Monday)

Just when you think things cant get any more random, everyone piled back to my place and delved amongst the many many many costumes I have in the basement from Weird Girls and other projects. Add champagne and this is what you get....

With the New Yorkers gone, a pang of yearning mixed with a sigh of relief came across me as I got myself ready to head to Devon. I wasn't due to go back to the UK until my sister had popped but because my Dad had been so sick Daníel and Nathan gave me their airmiles so that I could go núna strax.

This was a lovely trip, I saw everyone including Dad who is on his way up from being sick just very skinny now (and so I am respecting his desire not to be on the net in waif style so no photos), but also had a mock Christmas dinner with Mum and Hannah and Gran etc. This was also a birthday dinner for me as well and we all had heart attacks from cream overload.

I spent some time on Skype enjoying how silly my friends get when on webcam.

On Monday Hannah and Mark drove be up to Sevenoaks to see their house before my train into Londond town and I introduced them to the joy of Photobooth.

I headed into London and instantly wanted to stab people in the eye. I blatantly do not have the shell you need to function in London anymore. Everyone was in my eyes extra aggressive, things were more dirty and he solid drizzle didn't help I have to admit. However I did have fun seeing Sebastian in Garlic and Shots and then eating with Ali there before randomly discovering that Iceland's own Mugison was playing down the road at Water Rats.

There is more to the London tale but I have a birthday party to get my ass to, so I will regale more when my other films are processed on Monday and also fill you in on the RIDICULOUSLY cool Weird Girls things which are coming up. Can you hear me smiling?
