It has started to pull together for my move over there and its all going so well I am a little nervous that as there is quite some time to go yet there is every chance of it pulling apart before. But lets not think like that shall we?
In a mere 12 days I will land in Keflavik airport for the umpteenth time this year armed to the teeth with outrageous outfits and cheap bottles of champagne.
Airwaves festival. Aaah how I love thee. In addition to the wonderousness of the gigs and the parties and the insanity, I will be disappearing into the wilderness with the documentary crew and also trying to catch up with my various lovely friends. Grapevine have also been kind enough to let us camp out in their offices so that the documentary and Chris's apartment can be kept relatively separate.
Some of these friends will be playing the festival and I look forward to watching them, bursting with pride like a mother hen. I am especially looking forward to the Johnny Sexual debut. This will no doubt render all of the female audience (and a good section of the male too I expect) utterly helpless and instantly obsessed. Fact. You have been warned. Take clean knickers with you. I will also be making a quick stop to see Arnar's new pad as he has made noises about me being able to rent his spare room when I get over there permanently which is a joyous thing indeed. It will give me something to imagine as my home in the build up and will act as a handhold when my head starts spinning trying to imagine my life over there. All that’s left to sort out is a job.....anyone? Anyone? I'm good. I swear. Ask anyone.
